+1 PROMOTIONS
have been appointed as press agents for SA for the forthcoming African Dope end-of-year releases....
In a move that has overworked African Dope chaos controller HoneyB jumping for joy at the thought of never having to hustle a commercial radio station ever again, African Dope recently appointed Plus One Promotions as press agents for South Africa. With the power of Swedish mothership Plus One behind them, Plus One SA offer much-needed exper promotion and management to the SA indie community. Bringing a wealth of experience in many aspects of the industry and innovative ideas to the table, Jon Monsoon and his team sold us an offer we couldn’t resist, and now you can look forward to a sneaky African Dope media blitz in the next few months… for example, check out this press release

UP TO SCRATCH
been praying for a decent hiphop night in the city?
them prayers been answered with a new night starting November
Word from the promoter, the legendary Mr Mo:
“in Saturday nights at Sutra we have identified the gap, and made way for Hip Hop to take it’s rightful place. The evening entitled: Up 2 Scratch is a melting pot of Dj’s mixing, Live acts performing as well as Graffiti exhibitions that will be held on a weekly basis.
The line up is also nothing short of the who’s who of the Hip Hop scene in Cape Town, featuring resident djs AZUL, D-FORM (Moodphase5ive), SIBOT (Real Estate Agents) and FLETCHER (aka DJ Dope) on the one’s and two’s with live appearances by TYKOON SUIT, AFRICAN DOPE SOUNDSYSTEM, KRISHNA, MR MO, SKY 189, JAZMO, NEON DON and guests.
Artists exhibiting their work will be SMIRK, FALCO, MAK 1 and FAITH 47
So come blaze it up and come get entertained and educated at the only Hip Hop weekly in the city.”
